Hi! Mr. T! Good morning. Ang aga ko noh? Hahaha! This is Bridges by Dianne Reeves:

I have crossed a thousand bridges
In my search for something real
There were great suspension bridges
Made like spider webs of steel
There were tinny wooden trestles
And there were bridges made of stone
I have always been a stranger and
I've always been alone
There's a bridge to tomorrow
There's a bridge to the past
There's a bridge made of sorrow
That I pray will not last
There's a bridge made of color
In the sky high above
And I pray that there must be
Bridges made out of love
I can see him in the distance
On the river's other shore
And his arms reach out in longing
As my own have done before
And I call across to tell him
Where I believe the bridge must lie
And I'll find it
Yes I'll find it
If I search until I die
When the bridges is between us
We'll have nothing to say
We will run thru the sunlight
And he'll meet me halfway
There's a bridge made of color
In the sky high above
And I know that there must be
Bridges made out of love

Nice noh? Update you mamaya Mr. T! Nag-earthquake pala kagabi. Hindi ko naramdaman. Pero sana everyone is safe. Sige sige. Mwah!

Songwriters: Chaplin, Tom; Hughes, Richard; Rice-Oxley, Tim

I walked across an empty land
I knew the pathway like the back of my hand
I felt the earth beneath my feet
Sat by the river and it made me complete

Oh simple thing, where have you gone?
I'm getting old and I need something to rely on
So tell me when you're gonna let me in
I'm getting tired and I need somewhere to begin

I came across a fallen tree
I felt the branches of it looking at me
Is this the place we used to love?
Is this the place that I've been dreaming of?

Oh simple thing, where have you gone?
I'm getting old and I need something to rely on
So tell me when you're gonna let me in
I'm getting tired and I need somewhere to begin

And if you have a minute, why don't we go
Talk about it somewhere only we know?
This could be the end of everything
So why don't we go somewhere only we know?
Somewhere only we know

Oh simple thing, where have you gone?
I'm getting old and I need something to rely on
So tell me when you're gonna let me in
I'm getting tired and I need somewhere to begin

And if you have a minute, why don't we go
Talk about it somewhere only we know?
This could be the end of everything
So why don't we go? So why don't we go?

Oh, this could be the end of everything
So why don't we go somewhere only we know?
Somewhere only we know
Somewhere only we know

Tell Me I'm Alright
(Angel of the Night Reprise)

Tell me if I should keep on dreaming
Tell me why we ain't talking
I'm still here singing our song
Been waiting, been waiting for so long

I wait in silence , it's your voice I hear
A time and a place for us somewhere
Still my heart is saying we were right
There was only one thing I asked of you

Chorus:

I want to see you again
Angel of the night
When you went away
Every night I would pray
That you'd come back
And take me back
My world is fading slowly
Without you I feel so lonely
Tell me everything's alright
Tell me I'll be alright

Still trying my best to hold on
Illusion? No. Confusion? No.
Angel of the night save me
Angel of the night don't lose me

I don't care how you get here
Like when I saw your tears
I went soft and caved in
Angel of the night
Tell me I'll be alright

Bridge:

And when the morning comes
I'd be sleeping soundly
Waiting never minding eternity
Wake me up when you return
By that time, hope you're ready
Tell me angel of the night
Tell me I'll be alright

Outro:

Angel of the night...
Angel of the night...
Tell me everything's alright...

You Raise Me Up by Josh Groban
“then I am still and wait here in the silence, until you come and sit awhile with me… ”

It funny how one can remember a lot of things over a single song. :) I miss hearing and singing this in videoke bars. It feels good to be able to hear this song again. I’ll put this on my playlist. :)

Subtle Bliss by John Jacob Webb

I was late that night
First time we met
We were eating with our friends
And I thought that was the end
Of a relationship so beautiful
Of a friendship never ending

So I asked for your number
You didn't notice whatever
So I pretended
Like I didn't care
A message like nothing happened
Then I met somebody else

He made me fall but didn't catch me
Cried, waited but, you know
I was happy
I thought that was the last time
Last time I'd be in love
But I got tired
Grew tired of the the ish
I may have caused a lot of trouble
But I was more than that
So I flee

The sunset by the sea
We were reunited
We talked like long lost friends
We talked like we knew
Each other very well
Still pretended I didn't care
But you noticed I was looking at you
And we went back in time

Bridge:
But you were broken hearted
I was broken hearted too
Shared a lot of stories
My my, wasn't that a clue?
What does that mean to you?
But I cannot understand
The sense of it all

Chorus:
Am I the only one?
I can take lies again
I've been there before
If you won't tell me
I'm gonna enjoy this ride
I'll hold this feeling
This feeling inside

Your kisses flew over me
We kissed for the world to see
We kissed and played in the dark
Danced and still were kissing
Tell me those kisses don't mean a thing
More than once, more than twice
Oh, if that's nothing
Then I wanna be sting

I will tell everybody when we get there
Not like them
Who don't even seem to care
I'm here and I swear
(Call me and I'll be there)
Not the guy in the car
(No no no...)
Not the guy who lives on the 20th floor
(No no no...)
Just you and only you
(Just wanna give it to you...)
Let subtle bliss over flow

Outro:
I want another taste...
Gonna have another taste...
Another taste...
Let subtle bliss overflow...

I Can't Make You Stay by John Jacob Webb

We were happy
Like lovers
We cared for each other
Never knowing
In the future
We'd hurt each other
Like a poem with no rhyme
It's a love out of time

Chorus:
So I turn my back
And walk away
Hoping you'd say
Don't go, please stay
I bowed my head
Then shed my tears
You didn't reach for me
Is this all we'd ever be?

You lied to me
Didn't matter
Felt I'm still a stranger
When I met you
You were eager
To know me, talk to me
Slowly you slipped away
Hey
It's a love out of time

Bridge:
For the record
Now that it's broken
I want you know who I am
For the record
If I never knew you,
I would live my whole life through
And for the record
To love me was all I asked of you

Outro:
Slowly you slipped away
Slowly, slowly...
I can't make you stay...

Patti Austin - In My Life

Although music is sweet
But the song incomplete
Now in my life,
Boy in my life
Something is missing

It's the truth, yes it's true
Still there's no me and you
Here in my life
Boy in my life
Something is missing

In my life there ain't no melody oh no
In my life there ain't no harmony
To let me sing a song
All I need is a cue when I'm waiting for you
Boy in my life
You are the melody
Coz in my life
You are the song

Baby, in my life
You are the song
You are my melody
To me baby, in my life
You are my song

Currently feeling: longing
